Nail Prep

Nail prep is the foundation for a flawless at-home manicure, ensuring your wraps adhere seamlessly and last longer. By spending a few extra moments on this step, you’ll help prevent lifting, chipping, or bubbles. It’s all about giving your nails the perfect blank canvas so you can flaunt gorgeous designs with confidence. Proper prep truly sets the stage for success.

  • Clean & Shape: Gently remove any old polish, file nails to your desired shape, and wipe away debris.
  • Push Back Cuticles: Use a cuticle pusher for a smooth surface.
  • Wipe & Dry: Use nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol to eliminate oils, then let nails dry fully.

Applying Your Wraps

Applying your wraps is fun, creative, and surprisingly quick once you get the hang of it. The key is choosing the right size, aligning properly, and smoothing out any bubbles for a sleek finish. Taking a few moments to perfect your application technique means you’ll enjoy fabulous results that last longer, even on busy days. Embrace the process, have fun!

  • Peel & Position: Pick the perfect wrap size, peel off the clear protective film, remove the nail wrap from the backing, and align it with your cuticle edge.
  • Press & Smooth: Firmly press from center to edges, smoothing out bubbles or wrinkles.
  • Trim & File: Fold the excess over your fingertip, then file downward to remove it.
  • Top Coat (Optional): Add a clear layer for extra shine and lasting wear.

How to remove

The wraps can be easily removed using your favorite nail polish remover.

If you prefer a more natural approach, you can soak the wraps in warm coconut oil which will break down the adhesive.

***To avoid damage to your nails, do not peel the wraps off!

Pro Tips

Applying your favorite topcoat can add additional protection and extend the life of your mani. You may find that applying a base coat prior to placing the wraps is helpful in maintaining a secure bond with the wrap. It is not advised to use a base coat as your topcoat.

When selecting the right size wrap, choosing a slightly smaller wrap is better than a slightly larger wrap as it is best to avoid the wrap touching the cuticle or skin adjacent to the nail beds. Lifting of the wrap may occur if the wrap is placed on the skin.

Avoid submerging your nails in water for up to 6 hours after wrapping. The wraps need time to “cure” and if they are submerged in water too soon, they may slide right off! Many nail wrap wearers prefer to perform their mani’s at night before bed so they can cure overnight.

If the wraps feel stiff, you can warm them up to make them more pliable. You can use a hairdryer for a few seconds or just use your body heat!

Oils and lotions, including some sunscreens, can cause the wraps to become tacky and begin to peel/lift.

Nail chemistry is not the same for everyone and you may need to experiment with your nail wrap routine to find which methods and products work best for you.
